Terms and conditions
Prior to commencing with a course or instruction with Kootney Best Motorcycle School, each student must agree to the following:
- Full payment for the course (or private instruction) must be received prior to commencement of the course or instruction.
- Failure to provide a deposit within 24 hours of registration can result in forfeiture of your spot within the course or private instruction.
- Prior to commencement of your course or private instruction you shall present at least your valid British Columbia Motorcycle learner's license to Kootney Best Motorcycle School.
- As part of the required COVID-19 protocol, you shall immediately report to Kootney Best Motorcycle School if any of the following applies:
- You have been outside of the country within the last 14 days.
- You have been in contact with a person whom either is diagnosed or show's symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
- You are showing symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
- You have been in a public gathering of more than 49 people within the last 14 days.
- Kootney Motorcycle School shall provide use of their motorcycle and that you will operate this motorcycle with due care and attention and that excessive damage caused by lack of this due care and attention may become the responsibility of you the rider.
- Prior to riding a motorcycle at the Kootney Best Motorcycle School you shall be wearing the following:
- Province of British Columbia (ICBC) approved motorcycle helmet.
- Jeans or motorcycle riding pants.
- Closed footwear with no heels.
- Suitable top, gloves and other clothing in accordance to the suggested riding gear as noted on the ICBC website (Click here to view).
- Deposits shall only be returned to the student in the following circumstances:
- Cancellation of the course or;
- You cancel with at least 30 days (prior to start of course) and;
- Your class spot you give up is filled before the start of the course by another student or;
- Under the sole discretion of Kootney Best Motorcycle School.
- The rider/student shall indemnify Kootney Riding School and the instructor present of any liability in excessive of the provided motorcycle insurance.
- In the case of a dispute or disagreement to these terms and conditions it shall be the sole option of Kootney Best Motorcycle School to send the dispute or disagreement to binding arbitration and that all parties shall agree to participate in this binding arbitration and the associated resolution.
